About Hugh Jackman
Early life
Jackman was born in Sydney, New South Wales, to English parents Grace McNeil (née Greenwood) and Christopher John Jackman (1936–2021), a Cambridge-educated accountant. His parents moved to Australia in 1967 as part of the "Ten Pound Poms" immigration scheme. Thus, in addition to his Australian citizenship, Jackman holds British citizenship by virtue of being born to UK-born parents.

In 2026, Jackman joined Humanitix, an Australian not-for-profit events booking platform, as their first Head of Impact.
